Always Have A Dream
Always have a dream
Forget about the days when its been cloudy,
but don't forget your hours in the sun.
Forget about the times you've been defeated,
but don't forget the victories you've won.
Forget about mistakes that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons that you've learnt.
Forget about misfortunes you encounter,
but don't forget the times you luck has turned.
Forget about the days when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen.
Forget about the plans that didn't seem to work out right,
but don't forget to always have a dream.

The lost weekend
Well, Cody is doing better! Two of his stitches are already gone (disolvable). Yesterday he left to go up to Higgins Lake with one of his friends. Mike & I know his parents, we went to Jr. High & High School with them. They have a cottage up there right on the lake, a pontoon, and mini quads. I haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming he's having a good time (no news is good news, right?). Anyway he was so excited about it that he kept asking me yesterday when they were going to be there to pick him up!!! I was kind of psyched myself because Mike & I were going to have today to ourselves. Cody comes home tomorrow. Well Mike had to work 8hrs over-time, that turned into 10hrs, and then work called me to work tonight (7p-7a). So our day together wasn't! I didn't know what to do with myself being all alone, it was weird, at least the house is clean! ;0) O'well another time I guess. We need gas money anyway, ha ha ha. I hope Cody has a good time anyway. I will keep everyone updated on how his weekend was, hopefully they took some pictures, if so I will post some. Take care & smile!

Guess what Cody did today??
Cody was playing with Sally (our cat), slipped in the kitchen and went head first into the corner of the counter. I was at work when it happened, but was able to get some coverage for a few hours so I could be there when they stitched him up. (Thanks for covering for me Ben!) The numbing medicine is wearing off and he's starting to complain about it hurting a little, but he'll be fine. The doctor who sewed him up was awesome and did a wonderful job!

Miniture Golf
Mike & I took Cody out miniture golfing & go-carting yesterday. It was fun! Especially to see Cody's face as we were going around the go-cart track! He had a blast. Thankfully the weather was nice. I can't believe the weather we've had this last week. Our power flickered a couple times but never stayed out. Hopefully we are done with the bad storms for a while! Oh, I also wanted to mention if any of you have time and you want to e-mail Cody so he can keep up his spelling & computer skills this summer, thanks! (Codyjkh{at}aol{dot}com)
Take care & smile.

Cody's Summer break began.
Cody is so excited about being on summer break! He doesn't know what to do with himself. We are trying to plan some fun things to do that don't cost a lot of $$. We tried to look into getting a train to Chicago, go to some of the museums and the aquarium, but it didn't pan out the way would have liked it to. Greenfield Village is going to be one of our outings, and some other nearby attractions, and of course we can't forget going up north to go camping & swimming.
