Last Saturday was a great day for us! We had tickets for a Detroit Tigers ball game, and the weather was wonderful!! We started out our day by visiting Fire Station #57. One of the full-time firefighters has a friend, that was on duty, so we stopped in to visit him and the rest the crew. They were great! They gave us a tour of their station, which isn't to far from the ballpark. They also offered us lunch. Cody thought it was pretty cool! We had plans though to go to Cheli's Chili Bar, which is a bar & grill owned by a Detroit Red Wings player. What's best is that it is right across the street from the ball park. .jpg)

The fire-works were really awesome, better than some I've seen on the 4th of July!
We never got the chance to catch a fly-ball, but it was a really fun day!!

Did you know that I took my husband on a "mystery" date to that stadium last year?
He had no idea where we were going..we got on the subway..got off at the airport. (I had a backpack crammed with stuff.)
And then we flew to Detroit.
He was stunned.
It was awesome.
We watch the Tigers play the Orioles this Sunday in Baltimore.
